INFLUENCES

Severely influenced by comic art as a kid and the futuristic concept art of Stanley Matthews, Roger Dean and Chris Foss. 2000AD was probably the biggest influence, much more interesting than the Marvel stuff which never really did much for me. In terms of caricatures I was inspired by Malky McCormack. I use propelling pencils, fibre tips, coloured pencils, chalk and pantone/magic markers. I still draw by hand but nowadays the drawings tend to be scanned and coloured in the computer. The educational art section reflects this trend and is increasingly used in software applications for educational purposes in schools.
