The
Red Squirrel Project was commissioned by Argyll &
islands Enterprise, the Forestry Commission and various outdoor
centres to raise awareness of environmental and conservation issues
in order to educate children and adults about the habitat and
activities of the Red Squirrel population. It was a multidisciplinary
project which combined my illustration, the sculptures of a wood
carver, and poems written by local schoolchildren to create woodland
trails such as the Cormonochan Community Woodland Trail and the
Strone Brae Garden at various venues across Argyll and the Loch
Lomond National National Park. A selection of the panels are shown
below along with a picture of the trail showing a typical panel
and wood sculpture. Click on an image to see it bigger.
