The Victorians

This illustration describes the more recent history of Graeme's point during the age of Steam. The Victorians opened the area up by developing a tourism trail which began from Glasgow sailing to Kilmun, then on horse Carriage to Strachur, then to Inverarey and the north west by boat. A play area in the theme of the Waverley Paddle Steamer was built at Graeme's Point to highlight the significance of the Victorians to the area.

Picture showing the illustration with the Victorian Paddle Steamer play area in the background and a rowing boat filled with plants to the right. The monks hut can be seen in the distance.
